I have been transitioning from a fine art nature photographer to portraits, and the growing pains provided inspiration: Why not do both? The Tree Woman Project is the merging of both a passion to capture beauty in the forest and natural beauty in all women. It’s really a personal project that was also inspired by the work of Sue Bryce, Jeremy Cowart and Brooke Shaden.
In August 2015, I completed a dozen Tree Women Sessions and showed them during the Nature Consortium‘s Arts In Nature festival in West Seattle. They were accompanied by the sounds of the forests around the Puget Sound (recorded in all weather conditions) to provide a little forest oasis during the festival.
